What Is a Pinched or Pointed Nose?

Tip revision is planned after examining the changes in tip shape and the condition of the cartilage after previous surgery. A pinched nose is one in which both sides of the tip are narrowed inward so the tip looks pinched, and a pointed nose is one in which the tip looks narrower and higher than the surrounding area.

During consultation, we look at the amount and position of the remaining tip cartilage and the thickness of the skin over the tip.
