What Is Magic Lateral Canthoplasty?

Lateral canthoplasty can give the eyes a more open appearance and soften your overall expression.

Q. Won't the outer corner of the eye close up again after lateral canthoplasty?
Rather than just making a skin incision, lateral canthoplasty detaches the lateral canthal ligament at the outer corner of the eye,
repositions it in a new direction, then secures and sutures it precisely.
This not only corrects upturned or downturned outer corners but also helps prevent exposure of the red inner tissue, reclosing and scar tissue.

Unlike conventional lateral canthoplasty, which incises the skin or rotates a flap, this method firmly pulls and secures the lateral canthal ligament so that a new lateral canthus forms in the extended position, giving a clearly visible widening effect.

Q.I've heard that at some clinics it's hard to see the doctor after eye surgery. What happens after surgery here?

Follow-up appointments are usually scheduled at 7 days / 1 month / 3 months / 6 months after surgery. Dr. Yoo takes time during consultations to listen carefully as you describe any discomfort, however minor.
Q.I live outside Seoul and left my questions in Online Consultation. Who will answer them?
At our clinic, Chief Surgeon Dr. Yoo Hyun-seok personally reads every online consultation request and writes each reply.
Dr. Yoo also personally conducts every in-person consultation. Because consultations are not possible during surgery,
